Because of friends I got in contact with Greenpeace. So in
2002 I started to work for Greenpeace Spain.
For Greenpeace Spain I used to work
as a captain on the sailing vessel Zorba. The crew consisted
of five people: me, a teacher, a cook and two deckhands. Greenpeace
donors, seven each time, can sail along to experience an ecological
vacation. The teacher on board taught them about Greenpeace,
about recycling and took them to the beach to clean it. We
were always looking for dolphins and whales. At night we anchored
most of the time. After a week of sailing we had two days
in the harbour for repairs and for provisions. then another
group would come along. It was always really intense because
we were with twelve people on a relatively small boat. I made
a lot of friends.
