Through friends I got in contact with Greenpeace. In daily life
I'm a lawyer, but when I heard about a temporarily vacancy I
immediately reacted and got the job. I'll be on the Rainbow
Warrior till Cochin, India.
The
way everybody works on the ship is very professional, very
efficient. It's nice to work with all these different nationalities.
The kind of cooking I'm doing now is not very difficult, it's
a mix between western and Indian cooking. If I wanted to cook
Indian food for about thirty people you've to get started
very early in the morning. I enjoy being on the ship. It's
my first time that I'm cut off from land. Although I've been
sailing, you always could see the shore. I know when I'll
be back on land, so every day I'm at sea is precious to me.
I think I would have a different perspective if I stayed on
board for three months, like the rest of the crew. |
