In 2000 I started to work with Greenpeace
Germany, in Hamburg. Initially I worked for half a year on
board the MV Beluga as an engineer. Since then I'm sailing
on the Rainbow Warrior as 2nd engineer.
Campaign issues that really get to my heart
are those where lots of people are directly affected such
as the disaster in Bhopal, India. During one night in 1984
thousands of people were killed and still thousands are suffering
due to a toxic gas spill. I like the idea of working with
an international crew and I admire the dynamics and the energy
of small Greenpeace offices like the one in India.
